Babee Free was created by an Australian teacher & mother  who understands the challenges of protecting youngsters skin from the sun. What research tells us
Research indicates that Australians have the highest rate of skin cancer in the world and that childhood sun exposure significantly increases the risk of skin cancer in later years. Protecting babies and children’s skin from sun exposure and sunburn is paramount. Their skin is thinner, less oily and substantially more fragile than adults. Their skin also produces less melanin, which means they are more susceptible than adults to sunburn.

The inspiration behind the product
Babee Free was created by an Australian mum, who developed the idea on the beach with her young family. When her youngest twins became mobile, she needed to ensure they were comfortable and protected from the sun whilst she kept an eye on her older children playing in the surf.

Working initially with just an idea, a sewing machine powered by a noisy generator, and a healthy dose of self belief, the Babee Free sun protective cover slowly took shape. Initially designed as a simple cover, it soon developed a hood, and then came the peaked visor. Several more designs and refinements followed, and the result is the innovative Babee Free sun protective cover.
